Shipping Process - We offer International Tracked shipping with final-mile delivery by USPS. Orders are shipped from the UK. We dispatch parcels with the Royal Mail, who place the parcel onto a plane at Heathrow Airport within 24 hours of collection from VOCLA. The Royal Mail provides electronic customs documents to US Border Control for pre-clearance into the USA. The Royal Mail pay the tariffs for faster clearance. The parcel is then passed to USPS for onward delivery with no requirement to collect tariffs from the recipient.
Sameday Dispatch - Orders placed before 11 am EST are dispatched the same day on each working day.
Timescales - The estimated timescale is 5 to 7 working days after dispatch. This does not include customs clearance delays or events such as postal strikes. In October 2025, all US parcels arrived within a week.
Tracking - You will receive an email with tracking details. Please check your junk mail folder if you haven't received it. Tracking details are also available in the order history of your customer account. While Customs and Border Protection has the parcel, the tracking shows no information. This is normal; the parcel is not lost. When Customs clear the parcel and passes it to USPS, tracking will start on their website, usually showing an estimated delivery date.
Parcels over 2kg - Shipping services allow parcels up to 2kg in weight. If your order exceeds this, we will split it into two parcels.
Lost Parcels - Parcels are not considered lost until 20 working days after dispatch. This provides US Customs and Border Protection enough time to process delayed parcels.
PO Boxes & Similar - We cannot ship to PO Boxes, Drop Boxes, Freight Forwarders, or similar. These addresses are usually blocked at Checkout, but orders with these shipping addresses will either be cancelled or returned by the courier.
Mismatched Shipping & Billing Names & Addresses - If the shipping & billing addresses or names differ on an order, your order will be automatically held for dispatch until the cardholder confirms, in writing, that they placed the order.
TARIFFS
Your payment at checkout is the full cost to purchase and receive the goods, including shipping fees, all charges and tariffs. You won't need to pay any charges or tariffs when receiving the parcel.
Tariffs are added to your order at checkout. We pay tariffs and clearance fees to the Royal Mail, which pre-clears the parcel and pays those tariffs to US Customs and Border Protection.
Tariffs are currently set at 10% of the value of goods.
If you return items, the tariffs charged on those returns cannot be refunded by VOCLA, as they have been paid to the US government; tariffs are not revenue that belongs to VOCLA. VOCLA effectively acts as an agent, collecting the tariffs from the customer, and paying them to the courier, who in turn pays them to Customs and Border Protection. Therefore, you need to apply for a refund from your local US tax office or Customs and Border Protection, providing evidence of the original purchase and the return (eg, proof of original payment, order confirmation, refund confirmation, and proof of return postage). We can provide any necessary documents that we have on file.
